The Falealupo Rain Forest Reserve is an area of outstanding natural beauty on the remote west tip of Savaii. The Reserve offers a unique rainforest canopy walk with spectacular views over the tropical rain forest. The walkway winds its way up a Garuga Floribunda tree to a suspension bridge spanning a 30-metre gap to a large tropical banyan tree. Crossing the canopy over a swing bridge is an unforgettable experience. This is a conservation project established to encourage the local villagers maintain the lowland forest in its natural state by opening up the region to tourism.

The canopy walkway is open Monday to Saturday with the ST$20 fee going to the maintenance of the walkway, to the local village school and as a source of income for the locals..

Other highlights of the Reserve include the wild coastline with its natural stone bridges and a gorgeous white sand beach with splendid sunsets.
